Title: Raw Materials and Foodstuffs Production By ...

Publisher: League of Nations, Geneva

Publication Date: 1939

Binding: Soft cover

Book Condition: Good

Dust Jacket Condition: Poor

Edition: 1st

75 printed pages, paper marginally very slight browning. Signed and dated G.S.Bishop 1939 on the top margin of the title page. 21 x 27 cm. grey green printed wrappers, black lettering on the upper cover. One hinge slightly split Cream dust wrapper with green lettering and world map on upper cover; split along hinges into four parts. Corners and spine somewhat worn in parts. Impeccable provenance: From the library of Sir G.S. Bishop, youngest ever Deputy Secretary who was at the Ministry of Food 1945-9. This ephemeral document is quite scarce on the open market. The association with a very senior member of the civil service during the war, someone who took many decisions to achieve the best food security possible for the British people during WW2, is highly appropriate and adds to the academic and collector's interest.
