A set in matching condition, all dust jackets are whole and unpriceclipped, clean with minor edge tears, mainly at spine ends. Red titling crisp and clear on front panels of all 6, red titling on spines is faded, almost unavoidable with this issue. All other spine titling clear and underneath the gilt is bright on sleek black cloth. Two or three of the boards have minor faint mottling and the odd dusky mark. Volume 1 inner hinge split but still holding firmly. Ink inscription on blank preliminary page of volume 2. All folding plates are crisp, pages clean, minor freckling on the fore-edge of vols I.
