Title: Practical Hints on the Training of Choir Boys

Publisher: Novello, Ewer & Co, London and New York

Publication Date: 1892

Binding: Hardcover

Book Condition: Near Fine

Edition: 6th

77 printed pages. Flower-patterned endpapers. Owner's neat, dated (1915) pencil signature on front free endpaper, ex-libris bookplate on pastedown endpaper and embossed address on rear free endpaper. 13 x 19 cm. Original forest green cloth with gilt lettering along the spine and on the upper cover; covers with embossed borders. In very good condition. This book belonged in 1915 to Frank Rodwell of 5, Trajan Street, South Shields. It is not unlikely that he had recently been involved in WW1 where so many younger men met their deaths, men who had shortly before participating in their local community boy choirs.
